Indications
  • The Nobilis® Ma5+Clone 30 vaccine is intended for the immunization of healthy chickens against Newcastle disease and infectious bronchitis of chickens caused by the Massachusetts strain or serologically related types.
Dosage and method of administration
  • Chickens are subject to vaccination, starting from a daily age. The vaccine is administered intranasally/ocularly or by spray method. The timing of revaccination is determined depending on the epizootic situation in the economy and the level of post-vaccination antibodies. In areas epizootically unfavorable for Newcastle disease, the birds are re-immunized with Nobilis® ML C1one 30 4 weeks after the primary vaccination.
  • Intranasal/ocular method.
For the intranasal (ocular) method of administration, the vaccine can be used with Oculo/Nasal diluent. Before use, 1 vial of the vaccine (1000 or 2500 doses) is dissolved in 1 vial of the appropriate volume of Oculo / Nasal solvent (to dissolve 1000 or 2500 doses of the vaccine). To do this, the vials with the vaccine and the solvent are connected using the plastic adapter attached to the solvent, combined and the contents are thoroughly shaken. The vaccine diluted in this way is instilled into the nasal slit using an applicator or applied to the conjunctiva in a volume of ~0.03 ml (1 drop). The head of the chicken is held in a horizontal position for 1-2 seconds. When the vaccine is instilled into the nasal slit, the other nostril is closed with a finger, due to which a deeper penetration of the drug is achieved. It is allowed to dissolve the vaccine with sterile saline and use eye droppers during vaccination. To do this, 1000 inoculation doses of the vaccine are dissolved in 50.0 ml of saline and, using ordinary (eye) pipettes, one drop (0.05 ml) is instilled into the nasal fissure or applied to the conjunctiva.
  • Spray method.
Vaccination is carried out using special generators (sprayers). Sprayers must be corrosion-resistant, free of disinfectant residues and used for vaccination only. During primary vaccination, sprayers are used that provide coarse spraying, then it is possible to use fine sprayers.
The vaccine is reconstituted in cool clean water free from iron and chlorine ions. Vaccine vials are opened under water, mixed thoroughly.
After dilution, the suspension should be clear. The water container of the sprayer must be free of deposits, corrosion, residues of disinfectants or antiseptics (preferably use a sprayer intended only for vaccination). The total volume of water must be sufficient to distribute evenly on the bird; the rate varies depending on the age of the bird to be vaccinated and the spray system.
It is recommended to use 250 ml of water per 1000 doses of vaccine. The vaccine is evenly sprayed over the bird at a distance of 30-40 cm using generators (sprayers), while it is necessary to ensure crowded placement of birds.
For older chickens, 1000 doses of vaccine are dissolved in 1 liter of water; adjust the sprayer until fine droplets are produced (aerosol generators should only be used if it is safe for the birds).
Contraindications
  • Do not vaccinate clinically ill and/or debilitated birds.
Warning
  • Meat, eggs and slaughter products obtained from vaccinated poultry are used without restrictions, regardless of the timing of immunization.
