Product Description

Species Poultry.
Composition
  • The vaccine Nobilis IB 4/91 (Nobilis IB 4/91) is a live vaccine against infectious bronchitis of chickens caused by virus serotype 4-91 and closely related serotypes.
Composition: Active components in one dose: Live infectious bronchitis virus (IB), strain 4/91: >= 3.6 log10 EID50.
    Form of preparation: Freeze-dried granules.
Indications
  • Vaccination of chickens with infectious bronchitis serotype 4-91 and closely related serotypes.
Dosage and method of administration
  • A single vaccination against serotype 4-91 and closely related serotypes can be given at 14 days of age. If problems associated with infectious bronchitis occur at an earlier age, it is recommended to vaccinate during the first week of life of the chicks and revaccinate three weeks later.
Protection against the broadest spectrum of infectious bronchitis strains is achieved when vaccination with Nobilis IB Ma5 vaccine on the first day of life is followed 14 days later by vaccination with Nobilis IB 4/91.
  • Dosage: One dose per bird.
Method of application: The optimal time and method of vaccination is highly dependent on the situation on a particular poultry farm, therefore, in each case, a veterinarian should be consulted. Vaccination can be done by spray method, intraocular/nasal or with drinking water.
  • Spray method: The vaccine should be dissolved in cold clean water, free from iron and chlorine ions. The bottle must be opened under water. The nebulizer must be free of residue, corrosion and disinfectants (preferably used for vaccination purposes only).
The vaccine solution should be sprayed evenly over the appropriate number of birds from a distance of 30-40cm, preferably at a time when the chicks are sitting side by side in semi-darkness.
For one-day-old chicks, use 0.25 liters of solution per 1000 birds and adjust the spray nozzle so that the liquid is sprayed like a drizzle (coarse spray).
For older chicks, use 1 liter of solution per 1000 birds and adjust the spray nozzle to finer droplets. (Aerosol generators should only be used if they are known to be safe for birds.
  • Intranasal and intraocular application.
Dilute the vaccine with saline (usually 30 ml per 1000 doses) and apply with a standardized pipette. One drop should be launched from a height of several centimeters into the nostril or into the eye. You should make sure that the drop released into the nostril was drawn in by the bird.
  • Note: For intranasal or intraocular administration, a special solution called “Solvent Oculo/nasal” may be supplied.
  • Application with drinking water.
Vaccine vials should be opened above water. Cold clean water, free from iron and chlorine ions, should be used. Adding skimmed milk to water (2 grams per 1 liter of water) keeps the virus active much longer. It should be ensured that the entire solution with the vaccine is used by the birds within two hours. Depending on the weather conditions, it may be recommended to keep the birds out of the water for some time before vaccination. It is essential to have enough drinkers to provide adequate space for drinking. Drinkers should be clean and free from traces of detergents and disinfectants. 1000 doses of vaccine should be dissolved in as many liters of water as the number of days of age of the chicks; the maximum volume is 40 liters.
The vaccine should be given early in the morning as this is the main drinking time for birds and also the coolest part of the day in hot weather. When vaccinating a large number of chicks, it is recommended to start by diluting a portion of the vaccine. Particular attention should be paid if the birds are fed through a centralized watering system or using a dispenser. If there are flocks of birds larger than the standard dose of vaccine, the higher of the recommended doses should be selected.
Contraindications
  • When used in accordance with the instructions, there are no contraindications.
Warning
  • The best results from vaccination are obtained in the case of spraying with large drops (spray) or intraocular / intranasal. This is especially true for the vaccination of young chickens.
