For the active immunization of chickens against Avian Infestation Burst (Gumboro's disease).
Install immunity: 1 week after vaccination
Duration of immunity: During the period of susceptibility (up to 6 weeks of age)

Product Description

Species Poultry.
Composition
  • Live virus of Gumboro disease (IBD), strain 228E:>=2.0 log10EID50.
Indications
  • For active immunization of chickens against Avian Infectious Bursitis (Gumboro disease).
Dosage and method of administration
  • The vaccine is given by drinking water.
  • Vaccination program.
Birds with a minimum age of 10 days will be vaccinated with a safe dose.
The optimal age for vaccination will be calculated based on the level of maternal antibodies. The optimal age for vaccination can be calculated using the level of maternal antibodies in day-old chicks (Kouwenhovens formula), but normally falls within the range of 12-18 days.
  • Vaccine reconstitution.
The vaccine is packed in vacuum flasks. Measure the correct volume of water corresponding to the number of birds to be vaccinated (see below) and open the appropriate number of vials with vaccine underwater.
All containers used must be clean and free of traces of detergents or disinfectants. Dissolve completely with a shaker, making sure that all open vials are emptied. Water is distributed immediately to the birds.
For reconstitution, cold, clean water will be used, in which the presence of chlorine or metals is not ascertained with the help of taste or smell. Chlorine in concentrations up to 1ppm ecte has been shown to have a detrimental effect on vaccine stability and therefore the use of skim milk is recommended to prolong the viability of the virus. It is added to water in a concentration of 500ml Per 10lit of water. After mixing well, leave the solution for 15-30 minutes before adding the vaccine. Only skim milk will be used because the fat in whole milk can block the automatic watering systems and reduce the effectiveness of the vaccine virus.
  • The volume of water needed to reconstitute the vaccine.
The amount of water needed to reconstitute the vaccine depends on the age of the birds and the system of rearing.
  • Direct and well water management system.
The following recommendations will be considered: 1000 doses per liter per day in days up to a volume of 20 liters per 1000 doses.
For heavy breeds or in case of heat, the amount of water can be increased up to 30 liters per 1000 doses. When the number of birds is between two standard dosages, the immediately higher dosage will be chosen.
  • Drip water management system.
The state of maintenance of the automatic water system line is known to have a significant effect on the viability of the live vaccine virus. The vaccine virus can deteriorate very quickly and it is essential to ensure the correct dosage for each bird. Care will be taken in the mode of administration. For example, small pools at the end of the line will need to be refilled with water with vaccine several times within 1-2 hours.
  • Administration.
Water should be restricted before vaccination. Vaccine water should be consumed within 1-2 hours. The watering line will be reopened after consuming the entire amount of vaccinated water. Birds will not consume water if you do not have fodder available.
Contraindications
  • Do not vaccinate sick birds.
It is not used for birds that do not have maternally derived antibodies.
Warning
  • It is not used for birds that do not have maternally derived antibodies.
A satisfactory immune response depends on the reaction between the antigen and a fully competitive immune system. Immunogenicity of the vaccine antigen may be reduced by improper storage or inadequate administration. Individual immunocompetence can be compromised by a multitude of factors: poor health, poor nutritional status, genetic factor, concomitant medications and stress.
Under certain conditions such as very high and varied infectious pressure, fully immunized birds can contract the disease.
    Vaccinated only healthy animals.
In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical advice immediately and show the package leaflet or the label to the physician.
Wash and disinfect hands and equipment after vaccination.
No information is available on the safety and efficacy from the simultaneous use of this vaccine with any other vaccine. Therefore, it is recommended that no other vaccine be given within 14 days before or after vaccination with this product.
It is not used in birds during the laying period.
