| Composition | Enroxil® tablets are available in 3 dosages: mass 0.055 g, 0.183 g and 0.55 g. In 1 tablet as an active ingredient, the drug contains enrofloxacin 15 mg, 50 mg and 150 mg, respectively, and as auxiliary substances: mannitol, corn starch, sodium starch glycolate, flavor with meat odor 10022, methacrylic acid copolymer, sodium lauryl sulfate, dibutyl sebacate, Sodium croscarmellose, silicon dioxide colloid, talc and magnesium stearate. |
| Indications | Enroxil® tablets with meat taste are used to treat dogs and cats with respiratory, gastrointestinal and genitourinary diseases, soft tissue and otitis infections, infected wounds and other diseases of bacterial and mycoplasmal etiology, the causative agents of which are sensitive to enrofloxacin. |
| Dosage and method of administration | Enroxil® tablets with meat taste are applied orally to the animals individually in a fragmented form with food or injected forcefully onto the root of the tongue in a daily dose of 5 mg enrofloxacin per 1 kg of animal weight, which is: one tablet weighing 0.055 g (15 mg enrofloxacin) per 3 kg body weight One tablet weighing 0.183 g (50 mg enrofloxacin) per 10 kg animal weight and one tablet weighing 0.55 g (150 mg enrofloxacin) per 30 kg animal weight.
The daily dose of the drug can be divided into two doses. The duration of the course of treatment is 5 to 10 days. |
| Contraindications | It is forbidden to use Enroxil® tablets with meat taste to kittens younger than 2 months, puppies under 12 months (puppies of large breeds – younger than 18 months) because of possible negative effects on cartilage tissue during active growth. |
| Warning | Adverse events and complications are not generally observed in case of administration as per package insert.
Do not use Enroxil® meat-flavored tablets at the same time as chloramphenicol, macrolides, theophylline, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as well as with preparations containing iron, calcium, magnesium, aluminum cations, which impairs absorption of the drug in the gastrointestinal tract. |
| Release form | Enroxil® meat-flavored tablets are manufactured by repackaging 10 tablets into blisters, packed in cardboard boxes of 1 or 10 pieces. Each package is supplied with instructions for use. |
| Storage conditions | Store in original package. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. Store separately from food and animal feeding at +5-25°С. |
