| Indications | Treatment of cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, horses and dogs suffering from leptospirosis, brucellosis, tularemia, pneumonia, diplococcal infections, mastitis, endometritis, endocarditis, meningitis, wound and postnatal sepsis, erysipelas and edema (in swine), malignant Catarrhal fever, campylobacteriosis and actinomycosis (in cattle) and other diseases caused by microorganisms susceptible to streptomycin. | |||||||||||||||||
| Dosage and method of administration | Immediately before use, the preparation is dissolved in isotonic sodium chloride solution or 0.5% novocaine solution at the rate of 0.25 g streptomycin per 1 ml of solvent (1 g in 5 ml). The solution of the drug can be stored for 7 days at room temperature, but it is better in the refrigerator. A solution of streptomycin sulfate is administered intramuscularly. Intramuscular injections are done deep into the muscle. Treatment is carried out for 4-7 days. The drug is administered 2 times a day at intervals of 12 hours in the following doses:
With leptospirosis, streptomycin is administered for 4-10 days at a dose of 25 mg / kg, in severe cases, the dose can be increased. |

| Contraindications | Hypersensitivity to streptomycin. Do not administer to animals with renal and cardiovascular insufficiency. Do not use simultaneously in aminoglycoside antibiotics (kanamycin, neomycin, monomycin, gentamicin) because of the possibility of enhancing nephrotoxic action. |
