| Dosage and method of administration |
Before use, the bottle with Otidez should be thoroughly shaken. Carry out hygienic treatment by cleaning the ears from the surface crusts and scabs with a swab moistened with a small amount of the drug and drop 3-6 drops of Otidez into each ear (cats, fur-bearing animals and small dogs up to 10 kg, 3 drops each, medium-sized dogs from 10 up to 40 kg – 4 drops, for dogs of large breeds, weighing more than 40 kg – 5-6 drops). The drug is used twice a day for 5-10 days, then as prescribed by the veterinarian. When treating an ear tick, the treatment is carried out twice, with an interval of 5-7 days. If necessary, the treatment is repeated after 14 days. The drug must be administered in both ears, even if only one ear is affected by otodectosis. In the treatment of superficial dermatitis of the outer ear and ear canal in animals, Otidez should be applied with a swab moistened with a small amount of the drug, 2-3 times a day to the affected area. Apply before clinical recovery. The use of Otidez with other etiotropic and pathogenetic drugs is allowed. |
| Contraindications | Do not use Otidez with perforation of the eardrum and hypersensitivity to the components of the drug (including a history).
Use during pregnancy and lactating animals during lactation is carried out only under the supervision of a veterinarian. Otidez should not be prescribed simultaneously with other antibiotics and acaricidal drugs. |
