Mastomicin

Mastomicin is used to treat various forms of subclinical and clinical mastitis of bacterial etiology in cows during lactation.

Species Cattle.
Composition Gel for intracisternal injection opalescent, clear, from colorless to yellow.

Gentamicin sulfate 15 mg
Clindamycin hydrochloride 20 mg
Lidocaine hydrochloride 50 mg

Excipients: poloxamer 407, polyoxyethylene-35-ricinol, glycerol, benzyl alcohol, distilled water.

Indications Mastomicin is used to treat various forms of subclinical and clinical mastitis of bacterial etiology in cows during lactation.
Dosage and method of administration

Mastomicin® is administered intracisternally in a dose of 10 ml (1 syringe) for each affected quarter of the udder 2-6 times (depending on the severity of the disease) at an interval of 12 hours, until the symptoms disappear completely.
Before the introduction of the preparation, the contents of the nipple are siphoned off, the milk is disinfected with boiling and disposed of, the nipple is disinfected. The tip of the syringe is inserted into the teat canal by gently pressing the plunger of the syringe and squeezing the contents out, followed by a gentle massage of the quarter of the udder and the nipple from the bottom up (do not massage with purulent and purulent-catarrhal forms of mastitis).
If you miss the introduction of a regular dose of the drug should continue to use it according to the recommendations. Do not use a double dose to compensate for missed.

Contraindications Increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug.
Warning
With increased sensitivity, the drug is stopped and antihistamines are prescribed.
Pregnant females use the drug with caution under the supervision of a veterinarian, lactating females – according to indications.
The drug is not intended for use in young animals.
During treatment with Mastomycin®, the use of chloramphenicol (levomycetin) and antibiotics of the macrolide group (tylosin, erythromycin, spiramycin) is not recommended, and simultaneous intracisternal administration of other drugs.
During treatment and within 72 hours after the last injection of the drug, milk is surrendered in a separate bowl, disinfected by boiling and disposed of. For food purposes, milk can be used 3 days after discontinuation of drug administration, provided the clinical signs of mastitis have completely disappeared, confirmed by the corresponding tests.
Release form Packed in 10 ml in special syringes with a cannula for intracisternal administration, sealed with protective caps.
Storage conditions Store in original package. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. Store separately from food and animal feeding at +5 – 25°С.
Shelf life 3 years from the date of production.
