Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug increasing the antibiotic treatment effectiveness.

Product Description

Composition
  • 1 ml Flunex 50 mg flunixin.
Indications
  • Flunex is prescribed to horses, cattle and pigs as an anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic agent in the complex therapy of acute inflammatory processes, pain syndromes and hyperthermia.
Dosage and method of administration
  • Flunex is used intravenously in horses: – for diseases of the musculoskeletal system – at a dose of 1 ml per 45 kg of animal weight (1.1 mg of flunixin per 1 kg of animal weight) once a day until the clinical condition of the animal improves, but not more than 5 days in a row ; – for the relief of pain in colic – at a dose of 1 ml per 45 kg of animal weight once, if necessary, again after 24 hours; with endotoxemia, septic shock and other pathologies associated with circulatory disorders in the gastrointestinal tract – at a dose of 0.2 ml per 45 kg of animal weight (0.22 mg of flunixin per 1 kg of body weight) every 6-8 hours until clinical signs decrease diseases.
  • Cattle Flunex is used once a day intravenously or intramuscularly for respiratory diseases, mastitis, other diseases accompanied by acute inflammation, at a dose of 2 ml per 45 kg of animal weight (2.2 mg of flunixin per 1 kg of animal weight), depending on the severity inflammatory process, until the clinical condition of the animal improves, but not more than 5 days in a row.
  • Flunex is administered to pigs once deeply intramuscularly in the neck for MMA syndrome and respiratory diseases at a dose of 2 ml per 45 kg of animal weight (2.2 mg of flunixin per 1 kg of animal weight).
  • Due to the possible pain reaction, the drug should not be administered in one place to large animals in a volume exceeding 5 ml, and to small animals in a volume exceeding 2.5 ml.
Contraindications
  • Contraindication to use is the hypersensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug, renal, hepatic, heart failure, hypovolemia (with the exception of endotoxemia or septic shock), the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.
  • It is forbidden to intra-aortic administration of the drug to animals, as well as its use to cats.
  • It is forbidden to use the drug in pregnant females, young animals younger than 1.5 months of age, as well as piglets weighing less than 6 kg.
Warning
  • Slaughter of cattle for meat after the use of Flunex is allowed no earlier than 8 days after the last intravenous injection and no earlier than 35 days after the last intramuscular injection of the drug.
  • Slaughter of horses for meat after the use of the drug is allowed no earlier than 8 days after the last injection.
  • Slaughter of pigs for meat after the use of Flunex is allowed no earlier than 24 days after administration.
  • The meat of animals forcedly slaughtered before the expiration of the specified periods may be used as feed for fur-bearing animals.
  • The milk of dairy animals is allowed to be used for food purposes no earlier than 60 hours after the last use of Flunex.
  • Milk obtained earlier than the established date can be used after boiling in animal feed.
Release form
  • Flunex is produced packaged in 20, 50 and 100 ml in glass bottles of the appropriate capacity, hermetically sealed with rubber stoppers and reinforced with aluminum caps with clips to control the first opening.
Storage conditions Store the drug in the sealed packaging of the manufacturer, separately from food and feed, in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight, at a temperature of from 2 ° C to 25 ° C.
Shelf life 4 years.
