Composition |
- 1 ml of Ceftiosan contains: ceftiofur hydrochloride – 50 mg, and adjuvants:
aluminum monostearate – 10 mg,
sorbitan monoleate – 10 mg,
medium chain triglycerides – up to 1.0 ml.

Indications |
- Ceftiosan is indicated for therapeutic purposes in cattle and pigs with respiratory diseases, interdigital necrobacteriosis, acute postpartum metritis and other primary and secondary infections of bacterial etiology, pathogens of which are sensitive to ceftiofur.

Dosage and method of administration |
Ceftiosan is given parenterally once a day:
- Cattle – subcutaneously, at a dose of 1 ml / 50 kg body weight (1 mg ceftiofur per 1 kg body weight), in respiratory diseases, for 3-5 days, in necrobacteriosis for 3 days, in endometritis for 5 days;
- Pigs – in case of respiratory diseases – intramuscular – at a dose of 1 ml / 16 kg body weight (3 mg ceftiofur per 1 kg body weight) for 3 days.
Before each administration, the vial is shaken. |
Contraindications |
- Contraindications to the administration is the individual hypersensitivity of the animal to β-lactam antibiotics.

Release form |
- Ceftiosan is produced in 10, 20, 50, 100 and 250 ml glass vials, hermetically sealed with rubber stoppers and aluminum lids. The bottles are packed in cardboard boxes, together with instructions for use.

Storage conditions |
- Ceftiosan should be stored in the closed container of the manufacturer in a dark, dry place, away from food and feed, at a T0C of + 5 ° C to + 25 ° C. During storage, sediment may form it disappear on agitation.

Shelf life |
2 years. Open bottles with the drug can be stored for no more than 28 days. |
