Composition | As an active ingredient, one tablet contains 5 mg, 20 mg or 80 mg of marbofloxacin, respectively, and excipients: lactose monohydrate, povidone, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, meat flavoring, hydrogenated castor oil, yeast powder, anhydrous silica. |
Indications | Marfloxin® tablets are used to treat dogs and cats with diseases of the respiratory system, genitourinary system, infections of the skin, soft tissues, infected wounds and other diseases of the bacterial and mycoplasma etiology, the causative agents of which are sensitive to marbofloxacin. |
Dosage and method of administration | The drug is used in animals once a day, individually in a crushed form with food or injected forcefully onto the root of the tongue in a daily dose of 2 mg of marbofloxacin per 1 kg of animal weight. The duration of treatment for dogs is from 7 to 14 days, for cats – from 3 to 10 days, depending on the course of the disease. |
Contraindications | It is forbidden to use Marfloxin® tablets for pregnant and lactating females, as well as kittens younger than 4 months old, puppies under 12 months old (puppies of large breeds younger than 18 months old).
Contraindication to the use of the drug Marfloxin® tablets is an increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the components of the drug. It is forbidden to use the drug in animals with significant violations of the development of cartilage, with lesions of the nervous system, accompanied by seizures, with the release of microorganisms resistant to fluoroquinolones in the animal. |
