Product Description

Species Dogs, cats, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs
Composition The drug contains ciprofloxacin – 50 mg/ml (as an active ingredient), as well as amber acid – 10 mg/ml (as an excipient).

Ciprofloxacin (a fluroquinolone antibiotic) is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (including Echerichia coli, Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Klebsiella spp., Enterobacter spp., Proteus spp., Yersinia spp., Haemophilus spp., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pasteurella multocida, Plesiomonas shigelloides, Campylobacter jejuni, Brucella spp., Chlamydia trachomatis, Listeria monocytogenes, Mycobacterium spp., Corynebacterium diphtheriase, Staphylococcus spp. and Streptococcus spp.). Amber acid is a natural antioxidant.

Indications Treatment of dogs and cats with infectious diseases of gastrointestinal tract, airways, urogenital system, joints, soft tissues and skin, umbilical infections, atrophic rhinitis, bronchial pneumonia, colibacteriosis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, mycoplasmoses and other primary and secondary bacterial infections agents of which are susceptible to ciprofloxacin.

Use in cattle, sheep, goats and pigs with infections of gastrointestinal tract, airways, urogenital system, joints, soft tissues and skin, necrobacillosis, umbilical infections, atrophic rhinitis, bronchial pneumonia, colibacillosis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, mycoplasmosis, mastitis-metritis-agalactia syndrome and other infections, agents of which are susceptible to ciprofloxacin.

Dosage and method of administration Dogs and cats are given 1 ml per 10 kg of body weight subcutaneously for 5-10 days.

“Ciprovet 5% for injection” is administered to agricultural animals subcutaneously or intramuscularly at a dose of 1 ml per 10 kg of animal weight (5 mg of ciprofloxacin per 1 kg of animal weight), once a day for 3-5 days, to pigs with MMA syndrome for 2 days.

The maximum amount of “Ciprovet 5% for injection” for administration in one place should not exceed 15 ml for cattle, 10 ml for pigs, 5 ml for sheep and calves, 2.5 ml for pigs, 2 ml for dogs and cats – 1 ml.

Contraindications Do not use in milking animals, pregnant and lactating females, animals with renal and hepatic diseases, as well as with cartilage tissue development disorders and nervous system affections; in increased individual sensitivity to fluroquinolones. It is not allowed to use in combination with bacteriostatic antibiotics (levomycetin, macrolides and tetracyclines), theophyllin and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Warning
Cattle and small ruminants are allowed to be slaughtered for meat not earlier than 28 days after the last drug administration. This term is 14 days in pigs.
Release form Dark glass bottle of 50 ml and 100 ml.
Storage conditions Store in original package. Protect from light. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. Store separately from food and animal feeding at 5-25°С.
Shelf life 24 months from the date of manufacture.
